Collecting the Past and the Present: IHLIA LGBTI Heritage – Our Collections

IHLIA LGBTI Heritage is located in the Public Library in Amsterdam. It has the largest queer collection in Europe with materials from more than 150 countries in more than 60 languages.
In this presentation we will tell and show you something from our materials. After a general introduction we shall focus on three topics.

• First on our materials from Eastern-Europe, including Hungary.
• Thereafter on materials from the marginalized groups within the LGBTI-community, like transgender and intersex people. And how to acquire these materials.
• Finally we shall focus on the French artist Jean Boullet (1921-1970)
