Opening ceremony of the 14th LGBT History Month

In 2026 the LGBT History month is being organized for the 14th time. The opening ceremony of the History Month will be hosted by Valerie Divine. You can also meet the dancers of Charme Hungary group. You can watch Chabuca as well in the event (Peruvian movie-Spanish language with English and Hungarian subtitles). The opening ceremony is free but registration is needed before the program.

This spectacular and sensitive film about identity and steadiness shows us how to be brave enough to be ourselves. It tells us how the greatest South American drag icon was born.

 

Fundraiser Party of the 14th LGBT History Month

Come and party with us, let's have fun at the Fundraiser Party of the 14th LGBT History Month. Perfect party time will be guaranteed by Lady Dömber, Alterego Transzugró group and great music. Buying a lottery means a contribution to the LGBT History Month. The entrance fee is 2500 HUF till midnight, after midnight it’s 3000 HUF.

 

 

Queer & Cozy Film Night: Before Stonewall (1984)

As per our regular monthly movie event, this month we are presenting the movie Before Stonewall (1984, directors: Greta Schiller, Robert Rosenberg, 87 minutes.) due to the LGBT History Month. Secret, bustling life and struggles of the LGBTQ community will be presented by archive records and interviews before the Stonewall riot. Open discussion after the film.

 

Imrich Matyáš: The story of queer resilience

Meet Imrich Matyáš (1896–1974), a Slovak pioneer of queer rights. He fought for queer dignity long before the word existed. Marking his 130th birthday, this discussion traces his life, bold ideas, and hidden archives – his courage still speaks to today’s LGBTQ+ movements.

 

 

GBME LGBT Panorama: How Drag has conquered the World

Documentary movie about how the cultic film Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of Desert was made. Remembering Terence Stamp who played Bernadette. After the movie, Zoltán Petróczi (Lady Dömper) will tell us stories about the latest centuries of drag culture through own memories in Hungarian. Opening short film: DRAGFOX!
