Timár Eszter

genderkutató / gender researcher

Timár Eszter a Közép-Európai Egyetem (CEU) Társadalmi Nemek Tanulmánya Tanszékének tanársegédje. Kutatási érdeklődése a következőket öleli fel: irodalom, queer-elmélet, szexualitás, irodalomelmélet, dekonstrukció, performativitás, megtestesítés, politikai filozófia, a barátság és a testvériesség diszkurzusai. Kurzusukat tanít a queer-elmélet, a performativitás és a prostitúció témájában. Jelenlegi munkája elsődlegesen a poszt-revolucionista állampolgár és a homoszexuális modern (férfi) alakja közti sokoldalú kapcsolódási pontok témája köré összpontosul. Ehhez kapcsolódó projektjei a XIX. századi nacionalizmus szerepére fókuszálnak a homoszexualitás diszkurzusaiban és a jelenlegi magyar homofóbia esetén.
